Lisa Hershman's paintings reflect her commitment to capture the inner essence of people and their surroundings. Her style not only utilizes the transparent qualities of watercolor, it builds layer upon layer, to get a rich and vibrant effect. With her love of portraiture, Lisa combined her interest in the culinary arts, to create the "Heritage Hearts" series. Each of these paintings captures heritage and tradition, in a warm and realistic (except for an occasional surprise) still life.

"At the Limelight" series paintings portray a world of luxury and style. Glamour is the emphasis — the characters' connection and disconnection with each other make the paintings more intrinsic. It's a fantasy life that's yours for the taking. Lisa delves into the idea that, what you see isn't always what you get.

Lisa's paintings have been acquired by collectors around the country. "Sweet Star Fruit Salad" has won in Sculpture Pursuit Magazine's national painting competition. Lisa has donated her art towards worthy causes such as ICEC to help support children with disabilities.

Lisa was born and raised in the Chicago area and she and her family presently reside in Orange County.
