Carolyn Miller — May 24th, 2008 ~ 8 to 10 pm

Carolyn Miller is a singer/songwriter from Signal Hill, California. Driven by melody, delightful chord progressions and substitutions, she values honest, creative lyrics and the people with whom she writes them.

A graduate from CSULB with a music composition degree, Carolyn composed and produced her recital that included acts ranging from a string quartet to a full choir. Songwriting remains her prominent passion and she continually seeks opportunities to hone the craft, most recently at the Durango Song Expo. Carolyn currently works as a demo singer and 5th grade teacher. She can be found performing at coffee houses, clubs (Gypsy Lounge), and various church events.

Influences Jewel, Nicole Nordeman, Mercy Me, Over the Rhine, Eva Cassidy, Etta James, Selah, Ray LaMontagne, talented friends including Dee Briggs and Joshua Rush, Elizabeth Shea, and anyone who sings with soul!
