Jennifer
and Steve
Jennifer and her dad, Steve, have always been
buddies. So when the day came that they started talking about going into
business together, it just seemed like the right thing to do… and
the FUN thing to do! Jennifer loves to have fun but even more so, she
loves doing things for other people to have fun, get together and smile,
learn, and laugh. In college, she was a resident advisor for a year and
a half and was “in her element”, coordinating programs for
her residents to take part in. Now, with a coffeehouse, she is excited
about having the chance to throw little “parties” every day
for the friends and neighbors of The Neighborhood Cup.
Jennifer was born
and raised right here in Southern California, with a few short residencies
in New York, Arizona, and Las Vegas… and almost Florida but she’s
afraid of alligators and the humidity is really bad for her hairstyle!
Through her travels, Jennifer had a lot of wonderful opportunities
working in many aspects of the food and beverage world. As a server,
bartender, and bar manager, she’s gotten lots of great experience
and perspective from all of the interesting places she’s worked.
Come on in and ask… she’s got LOTS of stories!
Jennifer loves music
and loves art. Unfortunately, she can’t create any of her own
so she’s thrilled to be booking live music every weekend at The
Neighborhood Cup. “I could have live music for breakfast, lunch,
and dinner everyday”, she says. Jennifer also had a brother who
was an amazing artist and, although she did not get any of those genes,
she truly admires the talent and patience of artists. The art gallery
at The Neighborhood Cup is another reason why this adventure is so
enjoyable. These are just two of the many areas of the coffeehouse
that Jennifer is giddy about, but the thing that she most looks forward
to is getting to know her new neighbors. She hopes to be proud owner
of the “Cheers” of coffeehouses… where everybody
knows your name. So come on in, introduce yourself, and let’s
see what kind of fun we can have!!
Nick and Diane
Hi, Nick here. Welcome
to our bio page. Yes, I am proud to be a true Californian. I love the
Anaheim Angels (and they will always be the Anaheim Angels to me),
Disneyland, San Diego, snowy mountains, great weather and beaches,
beaches, beaches. I grew up with my parents Louise and Nick in Fullerton.
I am the youngest of 5 which include my brother Joe and sisters Debbie,
Marlene and Pat. I have great memories going to Fullerton High School
during the time they celebrated their 75th anniversary. What a great
old school. I am proud to be a Vietnam Veteran. My career path has
taken me into the construction industry, General Motors and the past
10 years with Beckman Coulter. Not to turn my back on California, I
spent 2 years living in Ohio near relatives in Niles and Youngstown.
But the winters were too cold, so back to the call of the California
sun. In fact, if you catch me in the coffeehouse, I will be the one
sporting shorts, Hawaiian shirt and a baseball cap.
Hi, I’m Diane (the other half of this twosome) and I was born in New York, moving
to California at the age of 5. So, I have the best of east and west
coasts in my blood. I was raised by Zelda and Lou with my sister Sue and brother Steve. You can tell, as I start off with family, this is
a #1 priority to me. My immediate and extended family is what has grounded
me through my personal and business journeys. Growing up included experiences
at Artesia High, Cal Poly Pomona and Long Beach State, teaching Preschool-Elementary
school, as well as being employed by Verizon for the past 23 years.
My passions are cooking and gardening. If there is an empty spot of
land, you just have to plant something!
In our free time
we love to travel. Europe was wonderful but we now enjoy traveling
around the United States. We don’t think we’ll ever run
out of new things to see. The best part of our journey is meeting different
people along the way. When possible we like to take our dog Corky,
who by the way is not aware she is a dog.
Our new adventure
is The Neighborhood Cup. But why open a coffeehouse? As you will see
when you visit us, it is more than just coffee. It is a place to extend
our family and welcome you. It’s a place to meet people, gather
around and share moments with friends. It’s a friendly place
to start your day, a peaceful spot for that well needed mid-day break,
or a way to relax at the end of a hectic day. We hope you’ll
become an addition to our family and we look forward to seeing you
at our home away from home, The Neighborhood Cup.

In January,
2005, I packed up my bags, my best friend, and Bert (my iguana)
and headed west for California.
Raised in
Fort Dodge, Iowa, I landed my dream job at age 16 working at
Bloomers on Central, a local coffee shop.
My job and
passion for coffee stayed with me while I went to college and
became a medical lab tech. I enjoy music, cooking, gardening,
crafts, and playing the piano.
I am proud
to be a part of The Neighborhood Cup and can be found serving “more
than just coffee” with a smile! |

You can take
the girl out of the south, but you can't take the south out
of the girl.
However, The Neighborhood Cup has become my home away from
home, away from Atlanta, Georgia. My favorite thing to do at
The Cup is spend time with customers, employees, and friends
alike, although I sometimes have trouble distinguishing amongst
the three.
When I'm not living at The
Cup, I am usually reading or writing or enjoying what southern
California has to offer. If you do stop by when I am working,
be prepared for a highly caffeinated, completely fun time,
as I am always looking forward to meeting new people and helping
people become a part of The Neighborhood Cup family. |

I
moved to The OC from the beautiful island of Oahu in December
so i'm new to the oc. Then
luckily my passion for amazingly great coffee n espresso led
me to the NEIGHBORHOOD CUP, which i'm so glad it did. In Hawaii
we have a term for family which is "ohana" and the
staff of the cup has become my ohana. I've been told that my
laughter is contagious and it makes others smile or laugh too.
I'm kind of a dork lol but i'm ok with that. You can catch
me singing, mostly off key, but aww well it makes me happy
and most
of the staff likes it! hehehehe. It makes them laugh which
i love to do so when u drop in say hello i'll make you a amazing
drink......life's
a journey not a destination if you keep looking striaght ahead
you'lll miss the amazing and wonderful things that around you. |

Hello!
I'm Emily at The Cup. I have a fat fish named
Mr. T. He's really
ugly, too! ( I planned that) I plan on taking over the world
one day with him. I also enjoy long walks on the beach and
starry nights.
I'm a fairly
recent addition to The Neighborhood Cup. With its unique character,
amazing food and drinks, friendly atmosphere and welcoming
staff, this is a memorable place for a morning wake up, relaxing
afternoon, or fun night! |

Drew is
a theatre major at Saddleback College and enjoys performing
any chance he gets. Drew has been acting and singing since
the age of 9.
Don't be

of the friendliest people you'll ever meet! |

Jenelle
Lauren Chadwick has two rats, four dogs, and a boyfriend who
strongly dislikes Las Vegas. Jenelle's favorite animal is orangutans
(despite the fact that they can be very stubborn and messy).
Her favorite thing to do at The Cup is dishes, dishes, and
more dishes.
Jenelle plans on working at The
Neighborhood Cup until she is 93 1/2
years old. She will then travel the world and save the pllanet
with her two rats, four dogs, and boyfriend who strongly dislikes
Las Vegas. |

Hi, I'm
Jessica. I LOVE The Cup. It's definitely my favorite job so
far. You may often see me drinking iced chai lattes, in class,
or playing with my cat, Anastasia (that explains the bruises
and scratches).
The
Cup is the best place to be. I'd make sure to be here everyday
if I were you. That will definitely put a smile on your face! |

plans of transferring to UCI in fall, 2008. I love to travel.

in Scotland and Greece while we were there.
I enjoy reading and biking
with my boyfriend, Joe, as well as going to the beach
with my best friend Emily. I have a great family and I love
them
LOTS! And let's not forget the family at The
Neighborhood Cup. They ROCK!! |

I moved to Orange County
to go to Concordia University in Irvine in 2004. I am originally
from the San Luis Obispo, CA area and I miss the Central Coast
lifestyle. I am an Anthropologist at heart and I am very passionate
about Linguistics. After graduating in the spring of 2007, I
am going to Africa for the summer and then on to grad school
for Linguistics.
I started my coffee career
in August of '05, working for those other coffee guys and (after
hanging up my
green apron) made my way to The Cup in September of 2006.
Other than coffee, my interests
include music, church, cooking and
attending 3 colleges at once. My friends are important
to me and I would do anything for them. I try to make that
true about
everyone in my life, not just my friends. I really enjoy
the homey feeling I get at The Cup, so come on in and see
for yourself!

The
man known as Romak patiently awaits the day when dinosaurs
once again rule the earth. He enjoys making strange noises
and inventing terms for things that don't even necessarily
exist.
His favorite
saying is, "We have nothing to know but know itself." A
great philosopher once said that... and it was me! |
